The majority of Mississippi's fastest growing jobs require little or no post-secondary education according to the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. Unfortunately, these unspecialized jobs pay less-than-average wages. A few notable exceptions are Registered Nurse and Operational Manager positions, which are growing quickly, require extensive training and pay above-average salaries. Those without specialized training looking for good pay in Mississippi are most likely to find it with truck driving.
