Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program as a Master Gardener, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); nine months of progressively more responsible grounds experience; a knowledge of the common names of trees, shrubs, monocots, and dicots; and a valid Utah State Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator License required. Operate equipment of various types including line trimmers, edgers, blowers, chain saws, hand and power sprayers, light trucks, dump trucks, side by side utility vehicles, power push mowers, ride on mowers, tractors, loaders, limb chippers and related tools and equipment.
