For the best chance at a good position, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in a related marketing field, plus a sample portfolio of writing or journalism to show prospective employers, plus a track record of effective communication or creative solutions, and also internship on the job experience, or accreditation from a university society or Association of Public Relations Specialists.
