Agricultural scientists, biologists, chemists, environmental scientists, forensic scientists, conservation scientists, marine scientists, nuclear scientists, and geological scientists are all part of the science industry. Because of the broad scope of this industry, job outlook may be better in some fields than others. Expect most to grow as fast as average because there is always the need for scientific evaluation of our surroundings, our resources, and our man-made products. The biotechnological and forensic fields may grow the fastest as interest picks up in those areas and technology advances. Entry-level employment in these fields as assistants or technicians may only require an associate's degree in a technical field, but any higher position will require college graduate level degrees.
