Many women find that working at home is a great way to earn an income while staying available for their children. Take a few steps to ensure that your work at home job is a success for the whole family. Set aside a workspace that is off limits to your children. This may include a separate phone line that has a professional voice mail recording. Let your family know that when you're in your office you're working and can't be disturbed. Don't answer casual phone calls during working hours. Caller ID can help with this.
