Competition is steep for jobs in advertising, marketing, sales, promotions, and public relations. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment is supposed to increase faster than average for advertising occupations through the year 2014. College graduates who are creative and competitive and who have the skills necessary to conduct their business over the Internet will be highly sought after. Job titles in the advertising industry include account executives, creative director, media director, promotions manager, marketing manager, public relation manager or specialist, and sales managers. Along with competition in this industry come long hours, plenty of pressure, deadlines, weekend work, substantial travel, and job transfers.
