History Teacher Job Search Tip

The requirements of a teacher vary, but generally involve a bachelor's degree, educational coursework, and completion of a state exam. Some positions, such as those in a university, may call for a Master's degree or PhD. Each teacher has his or her own style of teaching, known as "pedagogy". The pedagogy of a teacher will vary, depending on the group of students and the region/culture in which the students are being taught. Grade school teachers may work for a public or private learning institution. A university-level teacher is referred to as an instructor, although one with tenure will be called a professor.
