Although tourism is Hawaii's largest industry, the state has much more than surfing and snorkeling to offer. Agriculture also plays a large part in the Hawaiian economy. When it comes to wages, those in Hawaii are paid about 7 percent less on average than those who live on the mainland. Source: Wikipedia.
