Aerospace engineers construct, test, and maintain aircraft and space vehicles. Aerospace products and parts production employees spend their time on the factory floor as opposed to the offices or labs of engineers. Job titles also include production managers, machinists, technicians, computer scientists, assemblers, inspectors, mechanical engineers, and administrative specialists. Engineering positions are expected to increase and manufacturing production employment is expected to increase by 8 percent in the next decade.
