Healthcare was the largest industry in 2004. The healthcare industry employs a variety of people including engineers, inspectors, psychologists, psychiatrists, executives, administrators, educators, audiologists, doctors of all variety, nurses, and assistants. The healthcare industry has a better outlook than many other careers. 19% of new jobs will be created in the healthcare industry before 2014. This combined with turnover rates in current jobs makes the outlook very positive for employment, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook. Most jobs in this industry require less than 4 years of schooling to perform, but of those that do require education, this batch of workers are among the most educated.
