AR Job Search Tip

Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Inc. (HOK) is the largest architectural firm in the world and spans several continents. New graduates with architectural degrees can expect very stiff competition to enter the more prestigious firms such as HOK. Although employment for architects is supposed to increase through 2014, according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, new students would be better off to find internship positions that will lead to future employment instead of competing with other graduates for fewer available employment slots. The success and demand for architecture is dependent on many factors including the construction industry and the rate of new and older home sales as well as the commercial building industry. This demand will vary greatly by region.
