Major Responsibilities:
· Provides counseling and case management of sponsored clients/students in training or rehabilitation programs of Goodwill.
· Formulates and implements realistic Work Adjustment Plans that actively involve the client/student in the planning process.
· Completes client/student progress, attendance and billing reports using the prescribed forms and furnishes them to Goodwill’s Accounting Department and to referring agents as appropriate, in a timely manner.
· Maintains client master files and case notes according to Goodwill requirements, and is responsible for all other client/student related documentation.
· Assures appropriate student/client progress.
· Adheres to all relevant operational and reporting requirements and standards of ICD.
· Maintains current knowledge of the changing needs of the community and makes recommendations for programs and services that are relevant to those needs.
· Performs other duties as requested.
Job specifications:
Education required:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychological Counseling, Education or equivalent required. Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychological Counseling, Education or closely related field preferred.
Experience required:
2 years minimum in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field preferred, including knowledge of counseling techniques. Computer literacy required.
CRC or CRC-eligible highly desirable and/or knowledge of vocational exploration processes preferred.
