The XML Developer position is responsible for providing leadership and expertise on complex, calculation-intensive business applications or systems that include requirements review, business spec review, and working with IT management on design. Other job duties include:

• Design, codes test and implement a configurable application to meet user requirements.
• Create and translate business process specifications into design specs and XML business rules.
• Proficiently transfer development tasks to off-shore configuration team.
• Design and code ad hoc queries, maintain selected applications and supports applications at local and remote sites.
• Maintain data standards while implementing new products.
• Review product of off-shore development.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, other related field and/or equivalent work experience (eight or more years).
• Prior IT Management experience with Property and Casualty insurance products.
• Background in XML, SQL, rules engine architecture and business rules development a must
• Must be proficient with XML
• Experience with MOSS highly desired
• Knowledge of computer programming techniques, languages and industry standards a plus.
• Knowledge of database administration, database access techniques and database design a plus.
• Technical knowledge of the computer infrastructure including servers, client server and Internet capabilities (C#/VB.NET/.NET Framework 1.1 & 2.0/MS SQL Server 2000 & 2005/ ASP.NET/WINFORMS/XML Web Services) a plus.
• Familiar with aqua data studio and Oxygen
