Writer/Public Relations
20+ year-old consulting firm specializing in training to the banking and financial services industry with offices in NYC and Ft. Washington, PA, has an immediate opening for an experienced writing professional for our PA office.
We are seeking a full-time, staff employee for our Public Relations Team. This person will write press releases, articles and Search Engine Optimized (SEO) website content. Experience writing with SEO best practices is desired but not necessary.
Responsibilities
Writing articles and press releases:
- Generating ideas for new articles/press releases.
- Receiving ideas from others and drafting articles/press releases.
- Seeking places to submit for publication.
- Researching unfamiliar concepts.
Skills Required
- Open communication style & ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent editing, spelling and grammatical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to proofread documents quickly and accurately.
- Mastery of English grammar with a flair for writing in a clean, concise manner.
- Familiarity with search engine optimization writing techniques (preferred).
- Experience with web marketing (preferred).
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Experience/Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism or English writing; or relevant experience, degree or certification. Candidate will be trained in SEO writing if needed.
