Our team is currently seeking a Windows Architect, Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join a project team as a senior contributor in the deployment of the latest Microsoft server office computing suite (AD 2007, Exchange 2007, OCS 2007, MOSS 2007, Office 2007) to a 4,500-person customer base spread across six global sites. Windows Architect, Senior Windows Systems Administrator Major Responsibilities: • Develop, implement and lead all back-office support processes for this new environment. • Own and administer a global Active Directory resource domain, supporting Windows, Linux, Mac and mobile devices. • Develop strategy, prototype and implement future Microsoft and non-Microsoft technologies for server and client virtualization • Support scientific groups as a consultant and solutions architect for mid to enterprise-scale Windows scientific application deployments • Lead a team of junior and mid-level Windows System Administrators • Interface with Linux/Unix and Storage engineering teams • You must be able to develop, research, and persuasively present technical strategies and options to senior IT managers and scientific customer groups. Qualifications Minimum education/experience: • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, computer science, engineering or mathematics • Minimum of 8 years experience in MS Windows System Administration and client engineering environments • At least 4 additional years experience in IT support, database support or programming, IT Operations, application support or application development Desirable education or experience: • Advanced degree in CS, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or equivalent experience • .Net application development experience • Experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries • Chemistry and biology software application and system experience • MBA
