Reporting to the Wind Farm Site Manager and based in north central South Dakota, Acciona Energy North America Corporation seeks Wind Turbine Technicians to perform commissioning, service, repair, maintenance and operations on wind turbines generators, related equipment, support equipment and facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct safety analysis and review of hazards and energy sources. Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe manner.Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit of low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical or hydraulic components. Follow verbal and written instructions to perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance on wind turbine generators, related equipment, support equipment and facilities. Maintain inventory of tools, expendables, parts used and spares.Complete and maintain required and accurate documentation and records. Ensure safety and health requirements and cleanliness of facility and tools. Maintain required training certifications and proficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

Requires a high school diploma, advanced degree a plusMust be able and willing to travel to various job sites (including international) for work and/or training for extended periodsMust be flexible to work overtime and/or rotating shifts if requiredMust possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment Must have previous experience working with various hand and power toolsMust be able to work independently or in a team environment Must communicate effectively in a positive mannerMust be able to distinguish different colors Must be able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with confined spaces, cold weather, heat, wind, pollen, dust, grasses, and weedsMust pass periodic exams to ensure knowledge is current with job requirementsMust be able to move and manipulate up to 100 poundsMust be able to climb vertical ladders and work at heights of 280 feetValid drivers license in your state of residence (ND or SD) with clean driving record
