Tetra Tech is a multi-disciplinary firm of consulting environmental scientists and engineers with offices throughout the United States. We are seeking a Wildlife Biologist to join our Salt Lake City, Utah office and become an integral member of our team.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Enthusiastic person to provide technical service support for a variety of natural resource projects in the Rocky Mountain Region. The position will involve collection of natural resource field data for avian species, terrestrial wildlife (primarily mammalian), aquatic species, and related special status species. Other support needs include vegetation, wetland and other hydrological studies, and assisting in the preparation of land use planning and NEPA-related documents. An anticipated 60 percent field work with extended stays and as much as 40 percent office-related work associated with reporting and client assistance.

Experience:

One plus years’ experience working with regulatory agencies and land-use planning issues. Regulatory familiarity with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and western states wildlife agencies is a plus.

 

Skills Requirements:

Expertise in technical writing is mandatory and candidate must have excellent verbal communication skills.

 

Degree Requirements:

B.S. (M.S. Preferred) in Natural Science-related discipline (preferably Wildlife Biology, Range Science, Botany, and /or Ecology)
