SKOWHEGAN SERVICE AREA

Provides client education, counseling and lab work in the WIC program. Client intake including chart preparation, explanation of the program, determination of income eligibility, issuing drafts, and making appointments. Nutritional and medical assessments are completed in order to certify client eligibility for WIC. High risk status of clients is determined and care plan develop to include long and short term goals. An associates degree as Dietary technician or Bachelors Degree in related field that includes nutrition courses. Minimum one year experience providing nutrition education or community health related education to the public preferred. Travel to outreach sites required.
