The Highfield Mfg. Co has been in business for over 75 years and is located in Bridgeport, CT but is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region. The position can be located in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada or Arizona.

The Western Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing sales revenue and profits by developing sales to existing and targeted Utility, Industrial and OEM accounts. The position can be located in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada or Arizona.
Major Responsibilities:
1) Direct business from a Sales perspective in a specified geographic region, account, or market segment assignment. Create and implement a sales strategy which will result in an increase in product sales and market penetration/expansion.
2) Management of all business in defined region and increase sales and market penetration utilizing various sales channels and sales plans.
3) Manage Mfg Rep and Distribution Activities as well as OEM accounts on a direct basis. Set targets and measure actual results vs. plan and submit monthly, quarterly, and annually.
4) Create and implement Sales Strategy for assigned region or accounts and increase sales and market penetration as defined in Policy Deployment objectives.
5) Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement marketing campaigns tailored to specific region or accounts. Increase awareness of product offerings to increase sales and market penetration.
6) Develop annual sales plan according to customer and territory. Submit actuals monthly, quarterly and annually to Director of Sales.
7) Interact on a regular basis with customers, Manufacturers Reps, and Distributors as well as internal relationships, which include Product Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service.
8) Must possess computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with ACT, contact management database, desirable.
Education:
B.S. Degree (EE or ME preferred) from a four year college or university and at least 3-5 years of related field sales experience within the industrial marketplace. (utility & OEM preferred)

Strategic planning, product knowledge (Electric, Gas, Water Utilities and OEM), Negotiation skills/relationship management/interpersonal skills, management of Distributors and mfg reps experience preferred, presentation skills, oral and written communications, ability to set and achieve goals, planning and organizing, business/product positioning, cognitive reasoning ability including critical thinking and numerical reasoning, cross functional interaction, ability to analyze financial data, tactical implementation of strategy and new production implementation.
