We are currently seeking a talented Human Resources Manager to support leaders our Western Region which includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California and Nevada. This position, located in our Vancouver, WA regional office, will be working closely with the Corporate People Training and Development Department and Region management staff. The Regional HR Manager provides regional human resources support in the areas of recruitment, training, organizational and employee development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and other areas as needed to multiple facilities. Works as a consultative business partner to the region and is responsible for helping to attract, develop and retain quality employees through implementing corporate HR programs and activities.
Responsibilities:
o Acts as liaison for HR between region and corporate human resources. Interprets and assists in developing human resources policies and procedures for consistency, compliance and efficiency.
o Advises and coaches employees and managers on performance related issues.
o Supports communication of HR and business initiatives including benefit plans and plan changes, legal requirements, and compensation, as appropriate.
o Oversees employee personnel records to ensure legal compliance.
o Collaborates with managers, employees and corporate HR to help resolve employee relations issues; guides to best decisions, prepares/helps prepare corrective actions, facilitates involuntary terminations.
o Assists region managers in integrating newly acquired companies/employees.
o May facilitate training such as New Hire Orientation Training, Code of Conduct Standards, Workplace Harassment, Change Management, and New Manager Training etc.
o Analyze data that may include turnover reporting headcount summaries, exit interview data, internal/external market data and makes recommendations to management based upon analysis.
o Understand business strategy and priorities and align HR plans.
o Assists field with hiring process, as needed. Works with Employment Department in developing job documentation criteria for new and evolving positions.
o Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
o Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
o 5 - 7 years Human Resources Generalist experience.
o Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Management or related field.
o Demonstrated knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws and regulations. Employee Relations experience
o Excellent interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills and conflict resolution abilities.
o Experience supporting multiple or remote locations.
o Experience with non-exempt workforce.
o Ability to travel within region 25% to 50%, including overnight.
o Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Prior use of ADP HRIS/Payroll system or other HRIS system a plus.
o PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
