Tuthill Coupling Group, an Ohio based company with a reputation for quality and excellence over the past 90 years, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for their Western territory. Relocation is not required; the position is to be based from a home office within the territory. The position requires a high degree of travel and is responsible for the following geographic area – California. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Montana and Western Canada.

 

The ideal candidate will possess an energetic, process based and forward thinking approach to sales and growth. We are looking for a process oriented individual who has a proven record of planned growth and effective management of all aspects of the sales cycle. Key responsibilities of this position are:

·         Support and manage existing distributor network to maximize sales, penetrate new markets, and increase sales commitment to product lines.

·         Support execution of marketing initiatives to grow target markets, products & customers. Develop & execute sales strategies.

·         Identify and provide initial qualification for potential new distributors that meet minimum standard criteria.

·         Train, support, and motivate new and existing distributors.

·         Work cooperatively with entire organization to maximize opportunities.

·         Manage sales opportunities using defined process and tools.

·         Participate in preparation of annual business plan.

 

Requirements:

·         Minimum of 3 years prior sales experience serving the industrial based markets.

·         Bachelor’s degree in business or technical area.

·         Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 60% to support sales objectives.

·         Ability to assist customers with trouble shooting and new application requests.

·         Ability to set and achieve measurable goals.

·         Ability to work closely with operations and production.

·         Ability to be self motivated and work effectively from a home office.

·         Ability / willingness to perform necessary administrative functions, i.e. trip reports, lead qualification, new business qualification, etc.

·         Skilled in account and territory management.

·         Good skills in basic information technology (e-mail, spreadsheets, etc).

·         Strong communication and organizational skills.

·         Possess a drive to succeed and a problem-solving attitude.
