Our team of web software developers is expanding.  We are ready today to hire two new web software developers to work with our cutting edge internal operations systems.  We have custom developed all of our operational software – our customer support systems, billing systems, provisioning systems, account management systems, sales prospecting systems, accounting systems, and more.  You’ll be working with individuals from throughout our business to find ways to improve existing systems and create new systems to increase efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness - and then turning these plans into reality by developing the software you design. 

 

All of our software is web based and is built using ColdFusion with a Microsoft SQL Server backend. 

 

 

Responsibilities:
Develop complex web-based solutions for our intranet, internal systems, and customer projects. Developer will be given system requirements and is responsible for designing and implementing the solution, including database design, programming, and testing. Developer may work on multiple projects simultaneously and will either work individually or with other members of the team.

Requirements:

Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or similar. Experience with web development using ColdFusion (may substitute ASP, PHP, or similar). Must be able to demonstrate applications developed. Will accept experience from while attaining degree for recent graduates. Strong relational database design skills and understanding

We will accept candidates ranging from entry level to experienced professional.  If you are graduating from college soon or recently graduated and have had internships, part time jobs, or volunteer activities in web development beyond your college courses, we are interested in hearing from you.  If you’ve been developing web applications for years and are looking to advance and work for a better company, we want to hear from you, too! 

 

Details and Benefits:

This is full time, permanent position and is available immediately. Our corporate headquarters and this department is based in Bridgeport, WV, however we also have development staff in our Morgantown, WV and Charleston, WV offices and would consider candidates for any of these three locations (with a preference being in Bridgeport).  Compensation includes a full benefits package (medical/optical/dental/life, 100% matching 401k, paid vacation/sick/holidays) and a competitive salary (based on experience). Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship at this time.

 

Citynet cares about our employees and values a healthy balance between your work and personal life.  These positions are based on a 40 hour work week.  Occasional additional time may be needed depending on projects, however this is not common.  You pick your own schedule within our core hours.  All employees are invited to monthly social after-hours events in each of our cities, quarterly office luncheons in Bridgeport, monthly company wide “Lunch and Learn” sessions, “Lunch and Learn” sessions within the department, and a number of other large company activities (Company Picnic, Annual Holiday Party, Company Camping trip, and more).

3) Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services - offers directly to end users, but increasing emphasis on reselling our hosted-IP PBX platform to small Cable Television providers and ISPs looking for a turn-key solution.

4) Dial-Up Internet Service Provider - offers dial-up Internet services to residential customers and Small Businesses in West Virginia. Citynet currently has approximately 11,000 dial-up Internet customers.

5) Software - offers custom web development, Carrier Access Billing, Content Management, and Back Office/Operations Support Systems.
