Position Description:
This role requires an online marketer who will build on an existing track record of low cost, high-quality customer acquisitions maximizing conversions cost-effectively through company sales website. This qualified individual will be proficient in all elements of online marketing and reporting, including but not limited to CPA and CPC marketing in both direct and indirect partnership channels. Must be able to demonstrate experience of managing a transactional business to consumer (B2C) website, ideally in multiple markets and should be able to demonstrate sales success, from forecasting to realization. This individual will understand the importance of partner and affiliate management and be able to work closely with the internal and external technical teams to ensure proper execution. He/she will have a full understanding of the meaningful data reporting relevant to marketing and sales. Key Responsibilities: • Evaluate results as compared to strategies and tactics specified in the plan; institute necessary corrective measures quickly that will ensure successful achievement of the established acquisition/revenue goals. • Work closely with the development team to develop and drive project timelines, develop and implement e-commerce strategies to drive Internet sales. This will include optimizing web site capability, email campaigns, search result improvements, PPC campaigns and other partnership strategies. • Manage online affiliate relationships from initial point of contact through integration, deployment and sales volume forecasting. Work with these affiliates to grow sales through these channels. • Analyze web usage trends to improve and/or add functionality and help drive product mix and product demand requirements. • Measure, track and exceed KPI metrics while optimizing site visits and conversions • Track and report on the effectiveness of Internet marketing success and appeal. • Accurately forecast sales and cost of sales contributory to budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. • Analyze differences between forecast and actual sales and cost of sales on a weekly basis; plan, recommend and execute corrective actions and enhancement activities. • Develop and distribute regular and ad-hoc reporting utilizing data from disparate sources including internal reporting tools, MySQL database queries, Google Analytics and agency-provided flat files. • Perform other duties as assigned. Major Areas of Responsibility: • Overall responsibility for online retailing strategies to exceed budgeted acquisition numbers. • Responsible for web site promotional content, Internet affiliate partnerships including execution, effectiveness and financial results. • Create offers and promotions with third-party strategic marketing alliances; and produce up to date, statistical reports and ROI analysis. • Work in close relationship with the rest of the team to develop and implement e-commerce strategies that drive Internet sales. This will include enhanced web site capability, email campaign, search result improvements, PPC campaigns and other partnership strategies. • Develop concepts; strategize, plan, and implement e-commerce marketing initiatives. Qualifications: • The successful candidate will possess a BA/BS degree, proven leadership skills and direct online marketing (sales-focused) experience. o 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce including web technologies. o Strong project management experience, oral and written communication skills a must. • Quota-based sales experience beneficial
