As a Web Developer for RightNow Technologies’ marketing department, you will be responsible for the fulfillment of web development and integration projects into RedDot software. You will develop and deploy enterprise-scale web applications in a timely and easy to digest manner that provide content management, personalization, and integrations with third party systems utilizing RedDot template development, project publishing, project administration and project workflow.

 

Red Dot is RightNow’s web content management system, selected as a highly flexible application which enables seamless content authoring /editing, collaboration, workflow and localization.  Known for its ability to be customized and empower business users to update content.  This position is aimed specifically at projects which customize or integrate into Red Dot enabling the best possible experience for our site visitors and content owners.

Key Areas of Responsibility:Growth and customizations of multiple web propertiesIntegrate web applications for update through Red Dot business usersDesign and administer templates used to create pages in WCMSImplement a variety of site architectures and navigation structures in WCMSConstruct templates and understand project structureEstablish strategies for managing digital assets in WCMSImport and export WCMS projectsMaintain WCMS integrationsDevelop AJAX functionality Understand and guide decisions based on maintenance impactsWrite code to overcome cross browser compatibility issues Knowledge Base:Bachelors degree or equivalent experience5 years + web development experienceExcellent understanding and proven experience of Internet technologies including web programming languages, databases, web services, multimedia, content management, web browsers, and search enginesKnowledgeable of marketing automation concepts, tactics and issuesSkill Set:Expert HTML skillsExperience with CSSExperience with JavaScriptExperience with ASP or other server-side scripting skills (PHP, JSP)Experience with VB script or .NETExperience with  XMLBasic understanding of programming using an APIBasic knowledge of Windows servers, including IISBasic knowledge of  Active Directory and LDAP systemsDesire to constantly strive for improvement of systems and deliverablesAbility to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environmentPreferred Experience:Expert XML skillsUnderstanding of XSL(T) conceptsExpert RedDot CMS SkillsExperience with J2EEThorough understanding of programming logic
