DEFINITION
The Web Designer is a highly creative and innovative professional who edits, manages and develops the content on the City’s Web site and the City’s intranet; identifying content needs; partnering with City departments to maintain content consistency and enhancing the usability, search and effectiveness of the City’s Web site. The position also will handle some print design projects.

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of four years in the technical area of Web Design is required. Qualified candidates will possess working knowledge of Windows NT/2000, SQL and IIS.

Ideal candidate will have HTML, ASP and CSS and Access database proficiency, as well as Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience designing, creating and maintaining an active Intranet and Internet preferred. Please provide at least 3 Web site examples for reviewing with applications.
