Web Designer / Graphic Designer

The Web Designer/Graphic Designer works closely with internal and external teams involved in the eCommerce website development process and is responsible for designing and implementing the design of websites. Requirements:

Strong aptitude for user interface design and usability, in addition to a strong grasp of color, layout, and design principles. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of digital and print graphic design. Knowledge of HTML and CSS and understanding of web standards. Proficiency with standard design tools, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash. Strong interest in eCommerce and the user experience. Ability to work with a positive attitude as a member of a team. Ability to produce and implement designs under tight timelines. Flexibility and good communication skills. High technical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to take direction and prioritize tasks. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook Knowledge of marketing standards and conventions. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic or Web Design or similar field OR 3-4 years practical experience in designing and programming websites.

Sample job duties:

· Work closely with software development teams to create the “look and feel” for customer products

· Construct multimedia content by combining graphics, text, and digital audio and video.

· Determine illustration and animation styles, color palettes, typography, and layouts of promotional demos, presentations, and printed materials.

· Research graphic design strategies and helps develop company-wide best practices

· Maintain high standards of brand and exercise quality control on all design

· Remain abreast of technological advances in the field and identify areas of use in the organization.
