Apex Companies, LLC, a national provider of environmental, health, safety, and engineering services, is seeking a self-motivated, senior level Water/Wastewater Operator for our growing office in San Diego, CA.

This full-time opportunity requires significant hands-on experience in trouble-shooting, operating, and maintaining drinking water, storm water and wastewater treatment, storage, and distribution facilities, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on solutions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in quickly diagnosing compliance and capacity concerns and in developing detailed, compliant and cost-effective remedies.

The position is based in Apex’s San Diego Regional Office, but will require approximately 50% local, regional and national travel to project and client locations. The position requires cost estimating, construction management, excellent verbal and written communication skills, 10+ years of relevant experience, dual w/ww operating experience, and California D2/T2 and backflow certification licenses. Experience and licenses are required.

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
