Scotts is an EEO Employer, dedicated to a culturally diverse, drug free work place. Plans, directs, and oversees the warehouse operations, including support functions.  Three (3) Warehouse Leads, one (1) Sr. Logistics Coordinator and nineteen (16) Warehouse Technicians over three shifts report directly to this position.     Key Worked Performed Plans, directs and oversees the loading, unloading, hauling and supplying functions of the warehouse operation during assigned shift.  This includes promoting continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to all schedules (preventive maintenance, schedule attainment, FT maintenance), monitoring driver efficiencies against stated performance expectations. Ensures the provision of a safe work environment for associates by ensuring the adherence to safety policies, assessing and eliminating hazards, creating and sustaining housekeeping standards and conducting timely accident/incident investigations, including the implementation of corrective action to prevent future similar accidents. Associate Relations: makes consistent employment decisions; maintains effective communications with department associates to include performance metrics and associate recognition. Completion of required paperwork, including warehouse reporting, shift report, and payroll hours. 

Education:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Experience:Three years total leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment,preferably with strong materials experience in areas such as: Inventory Reduction, Logistics Planning, and Warehouse Material Flow. Knowledge:Working knowledge of manufacturing and management techniques including: Continuous Improvement, Preventive Maintenance, Pull System, Single Piece Flow, Kaizen, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, Team Building.  Proficiency with typical business software (Excel, etc) and experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is required. Skills and Abilities:Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.  Ability to direct, manage, supervise, and motivate associates.  Ability to manage production scheduling and material flow process to maximize line efficiencies while minimizing raw materials and finished goods.  Willing to participate in and complete effective training programs.  Excellent computer skills are required.  Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment.
