My client is a privately held 70 year old producer and marketer of quality snack foods sold under their own brand, as well as other “private label brands.” Additionally, they utilize their own unique manufacturing expertise and serve as a strategic supplier to other nationally recognized brands. With exceptional competence in product development, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution, they continue to realize significant growth in each business segment. We are currently in need of an experienced Warehouse Supervisor / Manager for their growing operations in West Texas. This is an opportunity that will lead to positions of more responsibility in Supply Chain both here and / or in one of their other facilities located in the Mid West. Position Responsibilities
Ensures products, parts or supplies are shipped, distributed or received in an efficient manner
Leads and controls warehouse personnel on proper storage and distribution activities
Manages inventory of materials, parts and finished goods to maintain required supply
Maintains records, replenishes stock and plans for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecast
Evaluates daily inventory on hand, counts items received or shipped and checks against packing lists recording any discrepancies
Prepares and reviews distribution documents
Loads, unloads, moves or stores items according to delivery or routing documents
Operates a forklift to load and unload, move or stack product. Will communicate with drivers in transit or customers about status of freight.
Background required
BS degree with 3 – 5 years of supervisor experience in a warehousing / distribution environment
Excellent skills in communication, organization, and leadership
Fully competent and knowledgeable on Warehouse Management Systems – inputting and identifying locations, implementation of WMS, training, daily monitoring of over-rides and manage system upgrades.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible and varying schedule
