Primary Objective: Serve as the liaison/facilitator between the filed and our overseas vendors to insure timely quotations and supply of non-stocked and/or fabricated natural stone products on job specific project requests in assigned areas. This particular position will have a specific focus on the hospitality/multifamily market.

 

Qualifications:

College Degree or equivalent work experience.1-3 years project coordinator or purchasing experience. Construction project management experience in hotel or multifamily preferred. Working understanding of blueprints and cabinet drawings preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to be an eager contributor to a team environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be detailed oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in word processing and spreadsheets.

 

Major Functions and Scope:

·         Requesting quotes and supplying pricing information in a timely manner

·         Insuring proper transfer of drawings between parties as required by project.

·         Confirming and tracking approvals from all parties as required by project.

·         Communicating regular status reports on projects from quote request stage through delivery to all pertinent parties

·         Insure proper documentation and filing of all project information from request through deliver confirmation.

·         Insure selected vendor has all templates and approved drawings as needed to complete project in a timely manner.

·         Handle multiple incoming requests while managing multiple quotes and orders

·         Aid in securing projects via regular follow up with requestor and re-quotes as needed to insure best pricing

·         Strive to create a positive educational relationship with field representatives

·         Assist in growth of the special projects team through positive team interaction and process improvement recommendation.
