SUMMARY:

This is an executive role as advisor to the president with strong component of financial audit and monitoring/researching of investments and projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ownership of all business and investment handling for of the company’s family office investments. Ownership of personal and business interactions with banks, insurance companies, extending from typical controller responsibilities. Designated authority on all investments within all LLCs and entities, with responsibility to track and report progress on investment projects large and small so that opportunities to generate funds and to prohibit loss are not missed.Work with CPA office and bookkeeper on all levels of complexity in finding where investments are and implementing and maintaining a system to track future profit and loss.Suggest process improvements, and give investment analysis where opportunity may be.Aid in overall growth of the balance sheet and make sure that all assets are deployed in the best ways.Be able to negotiate and monitor commercial and personal insurance coverages.Be familiar with IRS 1031 exchanges, tax issues as they apply to real estate, private foundations. Modeling to determine Internal Rate of Return, Discounted Cash flow and building P & L and Cash Flow projections for real estate investments Be intimately familiar with the preparation of an offering memorandum and work closely with legal counsel to draft disclosure documents and financial models.Act as liaison with individual and institutional investors to explain business plans, operating results and real estate portfolio values. Be able to analyze existing accounting system and make and implement changes to create greater accuracy, efficiency and retained earnings for future investments. Ability to analyze existing assets/liabilities and make ongoing strategic recommendations to maximize cash flow and total return on net worth. Conversant with conduit loans, their general terms, loan documents and lenders.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

CPA or advanced degree.Some in-depth dealings with real estate (transactions, taxes, contracts) on the finance and accounting side.Must have some experience with real estate.Self motivated to act as a trusted advisor.
