Liberty Mutual, Group Market is current hiring an experienced Vocational Case Manager to work in our Kansas City, MO office.
Job Description:
~ Review and analyze disability claims to identify potential candidates for Vocational Case Management Services.
~ Provide consultative service to clarify vocational information which assists Disability Claims Case Managers in making proper claim decisions.
~ Identify appropriate candidates for vocational rehabilitation services, and coordinate/direct the vocational rehabilitation plans for these individuals.
~ Provide training to claims personnel regarding the appropriate use of Vocational Case Management services in managing disability claims.
~ Requires thorough knowledge of all aspects of vocational rehabilitation and the medical/functional implications of disability.
~ Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive vocational assessments, occupational analyses, work site evaluations, job modifications, transferable skills analyses, and labor market surveys as these relate to developing and directing rehabilitation plans.
~ Understanding of group disability and medical contracts/policies as they relate to rehabilitation plan development.
~ Ability to synthesize pertinent facts in making accurate decisions regarding potential for success in a rehabilitation effort.
~ Knowledge of how a rehabilitation plan will interface with existing government and private benefits or policies.
~ Ability to resource the available agencies and vendors nationwide, and ability to render decisions about payment for services rendered. Qualifications: Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as solid organizational and analytical skills.
Requires thorough knowledge of all aspects of vocational rehabilitation and the medical/functional implications of disability. Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive vocational assessments, job analyses, work site evaluations, job modifications, transferable skills analyses, and labor market surveys as these relate to developing and directing rehabilitation plans.
Understanding of group disability and medical contracts/policies as they relate to rehabilitation plan development. Ability to synthesize pertinent facts in making accurate decisions regarding potential for success in a rehabilitation effort. Knowledge of how a rehabilitation plan will interface with existing government and private benefits or policies. Ability to resource the available agencies and vendors nationwide, and ability to render decisions about payment for services rendered. Requires Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling (or related field), and national certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) &/or Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) and at least 3 years experience in Vocational Rehabilitation desired. Experience working with disability products preferred.
