Customer requirements:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and facilitation of enterprise VTC services as the senior audiovisual production specialist for the enterprise and subject matter expert in video/digital image production and teleconferencing. Candidate must have a full working knowledge of video conferencing and visual information systems related devices. Performs functions involved in video productions and editing systems, installs, operates and troubleshoots integrated multimedia systems.
• Assist help desk personnel and customers with the schedule, setup, and management of VTC sessions.
• Responsible for Tier I & II troubleshooting of all VTC A/V hardware, software, room equipment, and network connectivity issues
• Respond to action items, impact requests for changes and conduct briefings and demonstrations of systems and/or technology as required
• Provide tracking and reporting on all projects and VTC/bridge activity
• Provide technical oversight to the customer, identifying required spare parts; perform field service and/or technical assistance as required.
• Serve as subject matter expert in areas of video/digital image production and teleconferencing.
• Performs full range of functions involved in all phases of video productions to include directing, editing, script writing, camera operation, setting of lighting, and video electronic graphics.
• Provides creative advice to customers on the appropriate media presentation format, time frames, costs and equipment constraints.

Candidate experience:
Typically requires 6 - 12 years of related experience in video teleconferencing network operation and multimedia production; Experience in VTC/Multi-media environment, audiovisual pre-production, production, and post-production methods and concepts. Outstanding customer service and communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines. Technical background includes an understanding of major video and multimedia production equipment. Experience with video bridges and video endpoints, ISDN and IP based VTC systems. Possess knowledge in VTC equipment such as: Polycom, Tandenburg, Crestron, and video and audio protocols. Configuring, utilizing, troubleshooting, and correcting problems and failures with the video teleconferencing and production studio equipment. Fully understand with ability to utilize the Avid film/video editing products. Possess knowledge and skills in network components such as: Codecs, MCU, CSU/DSU, IMUX, Gateways, Crypto equipment, Multiplexes, Fiber Transceivers, Routers, and Switches. Must be familiar with how T1, PRI, BRI Circuits function. VTC or A/V production certification desired.


BS degree in Computer or A/V Science preferred or specific relevant technical training. Industry certification in A/V production systems or software.

Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in A/V production and VTC systems. Substitute 4 years experience for applicable degree.
