We’re currently seeking an innovative Vice President of Programs to join our unique team of talented individuals as we continue our history of success.

The Vice President of Programs will ensure customer satisfaction, successful program execution and is responsible for Profit and Loss on programs within the Division. Individual is responsible for continuing business activities and will play a primary roll in helping Division to realize optimum growth compatible with the best long and short-term interests of the organization. 

The Vice President of Programs leads the Program Office in achieving its long-range strategic plan, reviews, evaluates and approves the long term and short term plans, programs and budgets for the Program area, and evaluates and controls overall operating performance by matching results against plans and ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to assure planned performance within the framework of the approved objectives for the division.

The Vice President of Programs plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that the goals/objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors and functional department: serves as a primary point of contact with the customer, government or prime contractor, resolving problems as necessary and eveloping/maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, coordinates activities and manages schedules, project costs and budgets for all organizations involved in the program verifying that program is fully compliant with contract requirements and internal standards and practices, analyzes programs with respect to risk (cost, schedule and technical performance), develops risk mitigation plans, and takes corrective action when a program misses, or is in danger of missing cost, schedule or technical performance requirements, reports program status and problems to senior management, provides timely resolutions to program challenges, manages proposal activities ensuring that project costs, schedules and programmatics meet or exceed requirements necessary to win new business, develops strategies and business scenarios to grow the program within the product area, reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies all schedules or plans as required, develops program plan and approves customer correspondence, coordinates activities and manages schedules, project costs and budgets for all organizations involved in the program verifying that program is fully compliant with contract requirements and internal standards and practices.  Where subcontracts required: manages the development of specifications, statements of work, evaluation criteria and requests for proposal.  Analyzes proposals with respect to cost/risk/quality.  Leads source selections and negotiation teams and monitors resultant subcontract costs and schedules. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. May be personally managing substantial or high risk programs.

Position requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or other technical field with an MS or MBA degree preferred; formal program management training, business and marketing training highly desired; must have at least 15 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience and have successfully managed one or more complex programs exceeding $10M. 

Must have proven leadership and administrative ability, and maturity necessary to assume general management responsibility for the areas of vital importance to the profitability and success of the Division’s programs. Must be able to perform effective short-term and long-range strategic planning. Must be thoroughly familiar with government acquisition and contract management requirements, MIL-SPECs and standards. Must have knowledge of technical, financial, schedule and management disciplines sufficient to take responsibility for programs. Must be able to provide personal leadership that encourages the division to be a leader in ethical business practices, to comply with all government regulations, and to be responsive to the needs of customers. Must be able to work effectively across functions within the division and maintain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction. Must be able to effectively manage and serve customers across multiple locations. Ability to lead and develop a high performance team is required. Must be proficient in computer applications as required. Must be able to travel 25% of the time.

This position requires US citizenship with a current government granted Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred). Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
