OUR CLIENT:
My retained client is an early growth stage healthcare technology services organization whom is profitable, has no debt and is growing. The company has a very unique turnkey solution which assists their customer base in a way that their competition can not. The leadership team of this firm is made up of all self-made business professionals who want to win. This position is open due to an interest in top grading their existing staff.
THE POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this person will have P&L responsibility for the sales & marketing departments of the company. This person will be responsible for development and execution of sales and marketing strategies & plans to facilitate the launch of new products and ramp up of sales of the company’s equipment, supplies and web-based services. You will have particular emphasis on developing and executing an integrated business strategy which will include reviewing and rationalizing current efforts as well as developing the processes and infrastructure to help the company maximize its growth potential in terms of volume, share and profit. This role is critical to the growth of the company. This person will have hands on responsibility for hiring, training, and motivating the staff to achieve its goals as the company being early stage is still in the process of finding their footing in terms of what they will look like as they grow into a much larger organization. Lastly, this position is expected to fulfill a key role on the company executive management team.
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered, you must possess an undergraduate degree with an MBA being a distinct plus. You will need to be a strong leader who is very bright and has a proven track record in driving results and showing new and improved methods of strategic selling. You will need to be well-organized, creative, and strategic as there will be a lot of thinking on your feet in this role where intelligent decisions need to be made. This chosen hire will likely have a minimum of 15-20 years of business experience of which 5-10 has been in a sales leadership based role. The ideal candidate will have a commanding presence, uncompromised integrity, demonstrated strong general business skills, including financial management and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organization. The senior leadership wants this person to be able to establish the rapport and respect necessary for building strong relationships with key industry leaders and practitioners to influence product utilization and enhance market development. If you come from the technology industry or at a minimum have an affinity for technology, this will be very important so you will be able to appreciate what technology can do because almost 50% of the current revenue stream comes from a SAAS based model.
