Job Description: This highly visible position will manage and direct a Corporate Retail Team to maximize Retail’s financial, operational, and strategic opportunities in each concept. This position requires a hands-on and high-energy individual who will manage the Retail Team’s adherence to Landry’s Corporate policies and culture. This position has strong involvement with the Senior Vice Presidents of Operations for each concept.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Accelerate the growth and increase the competitiveness of Retail, Restaurant, and Casino segmentation and site analysis. Lead projects / programs to identify and implement significant growth opportunities. Identify and respond to client, market, and competitive trends, by leading the implementation of sales, marketing, and product opportunities. Develop differentiated market positioning. Uphold and ensure high corporate standards regarding quality. Balance the Department’s budget, cash flow, and revenue generation with high operational standards.     Strategically drive profitability, build cross-functional teams, and establish exceptional customer service standards while solidifying relationships with unit level management. Develop and execute marketing strategies to support the continuity of the Company brand within and across concepts. In-depth understanding of what drives or hurts the retail business in the restaurants, retail outlets and casinos, and analyze and succinctly communicate those indicators and the overall impact it will have upon the business to senior management.      

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Merchandising or related is required. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in managing a multi-unit Retail Merchandise Business, including 5 years experience in managing Branch Stores and/or 5 years experience managing Corporate Merchandising Staff.  Experience with the Souvenir Gift business a plus.

 

Other Skills/Abilities: The qualified candidate will be a bright, accomplished, customer-focused executive who has the intellect, high energy, and drive to fit in with a motivated management team operating in a highly competitive environment.  Strong operational and people management skills, with the ability to oversee direct reports.  Must be an analytical thinker with broad vision and strong tactical skills, as well as a focus on execution and results.  Capacity to thrive in a fast paced environment.
