Provide leadership and coordination of the company business development and marketing functions. Develop and implement strategy based on the market and potential opportunities. Lead the company in the proper directions to achieve the goals of the company. Monitor and analyze the marketing activities against these goals.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Reports to the President & CEO
2. Responsible for all aspects of the marketing personnel to include recruit, train, supervise and evaluate departmental staff
3. Generate marketing plan and implement after approval
4. Develop and execute strategic business development plans necessary to approach, penetrate, and secure business in support of the companies overall strategy and long-term goals
5. Direct and coordinate the company marketing functions
6. Oversee and manage exhibitions and tradeshows
7. Maintain the existing customer base and find ways to increase sales to these customers
8. Expand the existing customer base by developing and implementing strategic sales plans and forecasts to identify new customers and close deals with them for the company
9. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influence and key strategic partners
10. Initiate and developing relationships with government procurement officers
11. Serve as Capture Manager and/or Proposal Manager
12. Participate in the development of proposals
13. Maintain budget for marketing department
14. Engage in budget preparations for the business development and marketing
15. Work with mangers and corporate staff to develop 5 year plans
Extra InformationIndividual needs to:
· Display leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach
· Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, distributors and employees
· Provide experience and capabilities to handle strategic and tactical sales initiatives
· 10 years experience in marketing and/or business development is preferred
