Recruiting now for an VICE PRESIDENT of APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT to work out of our corporate headquarters in BATON ROUGE, LA.

s         Responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and support of custom software applications.

s         Strong technical programming skills in the Microsoft development environment, experience with relational database systems, and good communication skills are required for this position.

s         Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, Visual FoxPro, .NET, and/or SQL Server is a plus.

s         Experience with healthcare information systems is also a plus.

s         All candidates must score well on a technical assessment to be considered.

s         Additional experience with C# extremely helpful.

s         Must possess a demonstrated ability to lead a technical team and to provide mentorship to applications development, software quality assurance, and database architecture teams.

s         Must also possess a working knowledge of applications development methodologies such as SDLC, CMMI, JAD, Agile, etc.

s         Must have strong management and development skills.

s         Must be able to function highly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

s         Seeking a structured, forward thinking IT executive.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience), plus seven to ten years of systems analysis and development.

2. Strong technical programming skills in the Microsoft development environment.

3. Software development lifecycle knowledge (design, code, source control, quality assurance, test and deployment).

4. Experience with relational database systems is required. 5. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work well within a team and project environment.

6. Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.

7. Ability to work under pressure on a number of different projects simultaneously.

8. Commitment to keeping abreast of technology and sharing that knowledge with others.

9. Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, Visual FoxPro, .NET, SQL Server, and C# is a plus.

11. Experience with healthcare information systems is a very strong plus.

12. All candidates must score well on a technical assessment to be considered.
