Michigan First Credit Union, located in Lathrup Village, Michigan, is in search of a lending executive to lead and enhance their loan operations. This individual will be responsible for implementing strategic direction, growing each segment of the loan portfolio, expanding the existing product line, driving a sales and service culture, and developing the staff within the department. The successful candidate will be well versed in lending to include consumer, indirect, mortgage and business lending. Sound underwriting skills are essential in this position and this individual has to have the ability to apply flexible decisioning while controlling risk. Ideal candidate will have a proven ability to grow and expand a loan portfolio, excellent coaching and mentoring skills, and a lending philosophy allowing for controlled risk. Ten plus years managing a large retail loan operation and Bachelor’s degree required.
Credit Union ProfileMichigan First Credit Union (formerly Detroit Teachers Credit Union) was chartered in April of 1926 to serve members of the Detroit Board of Education. Now serving approximately 71,000 members and exceeding $470 million in assets, we have several 24/7 service outlets including 18 ATMs, 11 automated MoneyWorks Banking Centers, MoneyWorks Online Banking and Bill Pay, and loan application both online and by phone.
