An electric cooperative located in Alaska has an URGENT NEED for a Senior Vice President to manage the Power Delivery portion of the organization. This position will be responsible for the overall direction and control of the transmission and distribution functions. The right person will have over 15 years of management experience in electric utility operation, maintenance, design and construction. Client is particularly looking for a candidate with experience in both cost management and maintenance management. You should also be familiar with REA guidelines. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration is required. Senior level management skills, exceptional planning, organizational, and superior communication skills are a must. Salary will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated skills. Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate. Questions you will be asked:
• What exceptional skills and accomplishments do you bring to the table that make you the right person to lead the Power Delivery Section of this company? You will be responsible for the Power Delivery from the plant to the substation, and to the end user.
• The client must have a candidate with a strong background in cost management and maintenance management, describe your experiences and accomplishments in these two areas.
• The right person will have over 15 years of progressively responsible management experience in electric utility operation, maintenance, design and construction. Client is particularly interested in your transmission and substation experience. Does your resume reflect this? or can you briefly describe?
• As this is a REA Electric Coop, how versed are you in their requirements and regulations?
• This position will directly supervise union craft work personnel, labor contract negotiations, contract administration, and oversee major construction projects; which would you feel is your strong point?
