Position Description:
Position Summary:
This position reports to the President of EDMC Online Higher Education and serves as the chief admissions executive responsible for the admissions operation for the online programs for South University, Argosy University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA and has responsibility for both the Pittsburgh, PA and Phoenix, AZ operations. The Vice President of Admissions is responsible for continuing to refine the vision, strategy, operating initiatives and daily management of the admissions operation to deliver on both the short and long term new student recruitment goals for EDMC OHE. This includes the management of the Director of Admissions for each online education system, admissions training and development and admissions analysis to assure that new start rate plans are achieved while supporting the high quality standards, complete compliance with school and regulatory policies and a high quality student experience that has been established by our institutions over many years of operation. Works closely with the Vice President of each online education system to assure a successful new student recruitment support and admissions operation. Leads the Admissions training team to meet extensive training requirements of new employees, on-going training and leadership development This person will serve as a member of the OHE Executive Committee (EC).

Key Job Elements:
1.Continued refinement of the EDMC OHE admissions vision, strategy, operating plan to deliver on both the short and long term new student and re-entry recruitment goals.
2.Oversees hiring of all admissions staff, maintaining staffing plans, development, motivation, and ongoing management of such staff including monthly, quarterly and annual reviews; new hire and veteran training; ongoing observations; turnover prevention via training and support provided.
3.Establishes forecasts and ongoing measurements to assure that new student and readmissions plans are successfully achieved.
4.Responsible for conversions of inquiry to applicant, new student average registered credits, re-entry process for returning students and student referrals
5.Responsible for the Admission’s budget and monitoring inquiry source results and cost effectiveness.
6.Leads the Director of Training to assure that new hire and on-going training meets the standards necessary to assure success in recruiting students without compromising our goal of meeting the highest ethical standards.
7.Ensures compliance with all EDMC OHE and education standards standards, the highest ethical standards, and compliance with all federal, state and accreditation requirements.
8.Serves as a member of OHE Executive Committee

Reports to: President of EDMC Online Higher Education

Indirect Relationships: Collaborates with the Vice President of each online education system, corporate personnel and EDMC OHE EC members.

Supervises: Directly supervises Directors of Admission, Director of Training, Director of Re-entry and all admissions personnel.

1.Bachelors Degree required, MBA preferred.
2.Minimum 10 years of increasingly responsible experience managing a sales department, particularly admissions recruitment or intangible products
3.Minimum 10 years of leadership experience supervising teams of seasoned and inexperienced admissions representatives
4.Strong analytical capability with an ability to read through results and bring to action in short time frames.
5.Confidentiality, integrity, and ability to handle difficult situations a must
6.Extensive experience with handling employee relations
7.Proven ability to inspire, motivate and lead a sales team
8.Achievement with Integrity
