VALENITE, a trusted leader in the metal cutting industry for over 60 years, has an opening for a ValPro Specialist in the Western USA Region including states: California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming
In conjunction with market channel partners, customers, and Valenite personnel, the ValPro Specialist will facilitate the proposal and implementation of tooling solutions that meet customer manufacturing needs from concept-stage to successful implementation with the use of value added selling techniques.
Key Performance Areas:
The ValPro Specialist will manage and perform all tasks related to selling Valenite’s products to improve customer processes and profitability by utilizing Valenite’s “ValPro Improvement Program” (VIP) platform; work with sales engineers and regional managers to determine potential VIP target accounts; present the VIP concept; gather data required to propose manufacturing process improvements; create customer proposal documentation; present proposal; field test / verify improvements using Valenite products.
Other Responsibilities include:
· Provide written documentation of cost savings achieved
· Manage and coordinate with sales engineers and end-user customers in VIP process
· Submit regular updates regarding VIP progress of current, potential, and existing VIP projects.
· Manage, cordinate, and participate in regional sales blitz efforts with Valenite market channel partners.
· Participate in expos, open houses and activities to promote Valenite’s products and train end user personnel in the most efficient use of products.
Your Profile:
The Ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in a related manufacturing field or 6-8 years experience in both sales and project management within the cutting tool industry manufacturing. Experience in process planning and CNC machining and programming is a must. Candidate must have knowledge of cutting tool applications, and tool design. Excellent verbal and communication skills; demonstrated presentation skills; Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
