The User Interface Engineer position is responsible for developing the OASIS user interface. He/she creates mockups, prototypes, UI frameworks and develops UI screens for the OASIS suite of applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Works with the User Interface (UI) designer and User Interface Architect to assess development feasibility of screen mockups.
• Creates UI prototypes from screen mockups or written requirements.
• Maintains common UI libraries.
• Assists the User Interface Architect with UI framework development
• Assists OASIS product development teams with UI development needs.
• Maintains User Interface standards.
• Redevelops older OASIS applications to bring them up to the current UI standards.
• Follows Company programming standards.
• Follows Company design methodology using UML when required.
• Produces detailed schedules and maintains them.
• Prepares weekly goals, reports progress to manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or its equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience: Minimum two to five years’ experience in writing Windows programs using C#. Experience with Windows Forms required; experience with WPF, Flash, Photoshop and Expression Blend are a plus. Experience with OOA/D methodologies. Some experience with multi-tier programming. Experience with a major development process, such as RUP or XP. Prior experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
Skills, knowledge, and qualifications: Must have strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. Demonstrates excellent oral and written, communication and customer service skills. Demonstrates an extremely high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a team player.
This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
• Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
• May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 25 lbs.
