Adecco Engineering and Technical is currently in need of several full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician's for our client in Columbus, Indiana. An Engineering Technician is:
One whose education and experience qualify him/her to work in those areas of engineering which require the application of established scientific and engineering knowledge and methods, combined with technical skills in support of engineering or scientific activities toward the accomplishment of engineering objectives.

Requirements:
-Some type of engine troubleshooting, tear down, build and/or testing experience required, even if just a hobby (i.e. car/lawn mower repair).

-ABET accredited AAS-MET related AAS Technology degree (please verify that your school is abet accredited at: www.abet.org) OR BSMET or related Engineering BS Technology degree.

Core Work:
-Responsible for performance and endurance testing on multiple and single cylinder engine components and subsystems.
-Operates data acquisition systems; reviews data for appropriateness; interprets results; makes necessary adjustments; documents and defines data collected.
-Work includes engine builds and tear downs; component measurement; data acquisition; diagnosis of engine, component, subsystem and test cell problems; fabrication work; installation and instrumentation of engines and components in test cells, test rigs and/or vehicles.
-Designs and documents test plans; prepares test reports to include findings, conclusions and recommendations.
-Requires independent, creative thinking enabling the Technician to conduct preliminary analysis of data and develop preliminary conclusions and recommendations for further action.
