Jacob & Sundstrom, Inc. is seeking an experienced Unix Administrator to join one of our client support teams located in Seaside, CA. In addition to the required skills necessary to be successful in this position, the incumbent must possess an active DoD security clearance. Secret or Top Secret please.

The candidate will provide Unix Systems Administration support for a large-scale multi-shift production environment. The operating environment utilizes Sun hardware platforms, clustered for high availability; Veritas File System and Volume Manager for disk management; Veritas, Netbackup Data Center for backup and recovery support; BMC Patrol products for systems monitoring.

1. Perform software installation and maintenance.
2. Perform file system and space management.
3. Support backup and recovery operations.
4. Perform problem diagnosis and re mediation.

1. Active DoD Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship
2. Strong working knowledge of Sun (Sun Fire 15K,
StorEdge Arrays) hardware platforms and Solaris (2.8,
2.9) operating systems
3. Minimum AA degree with 7 years of working Unix
experience
4. Demonstrated ability to function independently and
as part of a team.
