POSITION SUMMARY:
The DBBM Chicago office seeks an entry level Underwriting Analyst with 0-2 years of commercial underwriting or related financial services experience. Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac multifamily GSE Underwriting experience considered a plus. The underwriting analyst’s primary responsibility will be to provide day-to-day financial, market and underwriting analyses of multifamily loans. This is an excellent opportunity to be thoroughly educated about the underwriting of multifamily mortgages, to have extensive contact with DBBM clients and to train under the premier programs (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac) and other complex commercial real estate loan types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Provide day-to-day financial, market and underwriting analyses of multifamily loans.
Processing incoming exhibits.
Working on pre-screening and due diligence of deals.
Final delivery of investor packages.
Follow-up on information during securitization and MBS sale.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Economics, Accounting/Finance Real Estate or Business preferred, but any candidate with a strong interest in real estate and a basic understanding of financial concepts is encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in MS Office specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Open and willing to domestic travel
Strong oral and written communication skills
0-2 Years Commercial/Multi-Family Underwriting experience preferred
