UNDERWRITER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Expert decision making and porfolio management of new and renewal physician business Negotiate account terms and conditions Final risk analysis and rating for individual and group new business Final review and interpretation of renewal applications Final review and interpretation of PCCs Expert training support IA direct communication, audits, on-site visits and training Account site visits/sales support/negotiations Tier II information gathering for new and renewal business

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS in business or equivalent experience 1-2 years related experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical, negotiation and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work independently or as a team member Strong work knowledge of PC and Microsoft Suite Office systems Prior insurance, nursing or dental care experience desired An understanding of medical and dental terminology preferred Must be able to obtain P&C License
