Job Functions:Provide effective management for environmental projects to increase power plant water use efficiency; reduce overall water consumptionHelp resolve technical and scientific issues related to watershed management, TMDLs and effluent guidelineContribute to the leadership of a national research program by defining problems and products, establishing teams of scientists and engineers in academia and industry to solve them and delivering results within allocated time and resourcesAreas of responsibility will include technical management of research projects, collaboration with federal agencies and other organizations conducting water-related research; and integration of water conservation research with other aspects of water resource management including treatment options, watershed modeling, and water quality tradingIdeal Candidate:Excellent teaming abilities so as to work successfully with multidisciplinary staff, contracted resources, and the scientific and technical community at large to collect and assess information on new, innovative technical opportunities Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to communicate research issues, approaches, and finding with non-specialists as well as with scientists, engineers, and research program executives
