Construction Maintenance Engineer/Electrical
Control and Meter Engineer
Physical Plant Division
Under the general direction of the Physical Plant Assistant Director for Utilities, the incumbent is responsible for electrical control engineering and utility usage metering activities involved with the design, project management, maintenance, and operation of existing electrical controls and utility metering systems including reviewing meter calibration reports, applicable codes, writing specifications, estimating material costs, filing permits and scheduling work activities.
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or valid industry recognized license (electrical and controls) and certification (ISA or equivalent) with three to five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of utility electrical control and metering systems; including applicable codes and regulations.
· Knowledge of the design and installation of Programmable Logic Control Systems, SCADA, and utility automated control and metering systems.
· Ability to read and interpret control blueprints and drawings.
· Ability to work with personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet and drawing software.
