Green Company, a consulting engineering and architecture firm with 95-years of history and strong focus on a growing future, is looking for exceptionally talented individuals ready to begin the next stage of their professional journey. We are currently seeking a Project Manager to assist with the expansion of our Transportation group in Moline, IL. This position will work with an exceptional team of planning and design professionals on a broad spectrum of transportation projects for city, regional, and state clients. Projects will include the design of urban and rural roadways, interchanges, municipal utilities, and other projects related to transportation.

The Project Manager is accountable for the successful management of assigned projects. The Project Manager is also responsible for assisting in marketing and client development, technical quality, profitability, schedule, project staff coordination, client communications, scoping and negotiating scopes and fees, client follow-up, billing/collections and maintenance. The Project Manager must maintain superior relationships with each of his/her clients. Direct periodic communication with Group Leaders is essential. The Project Manager may manage several projects and tasks, and may be responsible for completing those tasks, simultaneously.

Will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Prepares the scope of services, detailed project budget and contract for the Group Leader’s review and approval.
Works with the Group and Unit Leader(s) to determine the composition of project team(s). Assigns tasks, schedules and budget to project team members (including any subcontractors). Coordinates project scheduling.
Conducts kick-off and interim project status meetings with the project team to discuss tasks, schedules, budgets, etc.
Is responsible for completing each project on time and on budget. Regularly monitors project schedules and budgets throughout the project life.
Responsible for leading formal Project Reviews for his/her projects.
Assures that a QA/QC review is completed at the appropriate stages of each project.
Is responsible for determining if a contract needs to be amended and immediately seeks approval of from the CSM and supervisor when changes in a project’s budget or scope are necessary.
Serves a primary client contact for selected projects.
Monitors project’s adherence to company standards, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance specifications and CADD standards.
Documents the performance of project team members through completion of Project Staff Reviews.
Communicates significant performance issues to team members and Team Leaders so that appropriate action may be taken.

The ideal candidate will develop business relationships with existing and new clients for the firm with an emphasis on cultivating and managing client relationships. The chosen candidate will act as a key client representative of the firm, will develop/mentor junior staff, and will play a lead marketing role with assigned, targeted clients.

Qualified candidates should have 10+ years of transportation/roadway engineering experience, including experience with federally-funded projects. Must be professionally registered (P.E.) in Iowa and Illinois, or have the ability to obtain such registration within 6 months of employment. Must have demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time and experience in leading the technical work of others. Client development/sales experience in the Quad Cities marketplace highly preferred. Project Manager,Transportation Engineering
